Christmas Reflection
Christmas Reflection Poem
by Julie Riconda
The great “ I Am” chosen to forgo his endless power
Creator of stars, Author of the universe
Now limited to one stance, one land, one family
Locked in a hapless, tiny body
Providing the hope for all
Infinity incarcerated in infancy
Not wrong but wronged,
The perfect framed in imperfection
Innocent but adopting guilt for all
King of the universe, being led to slaughter Humankind yet Godhead eternal
Infinity incarcerated in infancy
Who for me this wonder be
As I gaze on innocence
King forever but babe locked in time
Does He know the coming sacrifice
Yet there he lies,
Infinity incarcerated in infancy
